11 Viking football players took the next step in their athletic and academic career as they signed football scholarships on Wednesday surrounded by their coaches and family.

Will Barnum, Dontavious Bell, Floyd Davenport, Brandon Gilliam, Danny Guice, Preston Lynch, Kevin Miller Jr, Jaevian Mims, Jashun Simon, TJ Thompson and Jason Williams all signed to local junior colleges just a few months after helping Warren Central to a 8-4 season and a second round playoff appearance under head coach Josh Morgan.

Barnum (manager), Guice (defensive back) and Miller (OL) will be headed Jones Community College where they will be a part of the Bobcats’ program.

Davenport (LB), Williams (defensive backs) and Mims (defensive back) signed to Mississippi Delta Community College to fight for a spot on the Trojans roster.

Gilliam (Kicker), Thompson (RB) and Lynch (WR) will take their talents to East Central Community College after shining for WC’s offense and special teams.

Bell (OL), a three year starter on the offensive line, is going right up the road to Raymond, having signed to Hinds CC.
