13-year-old charged with murder in Mississippi

A 13-year-old has been charged with murder after a Tuesday night shooting in Lamar County.

The Lamar County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 27-year-old Jasmine Johnson. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. on July 11 at a home on North Windridge Lane where Johnson died of a single gunshot wound.

The 13-year-old is from Natchez and is being charged as an adult.
