Homicide on Fayette Street in Vicksburg early Saturday morning

This morning at around 12:51 a.m., Vicksburg police responded to a 911 call regarding a person being shot in the 1100 block of Fayette Street.

When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound to his head. At that point he was still breathing.

Dematric Lamar Clark, 36, soon died from his injuries on the scene.

This homicide is under investigation, and no arrests have been made.
