Former PSC commissioner Cochran has died

A former Central District public service commissioner has passed away.
Neilsen H. Cochran served on the PSC from 1984 to 2007. Prior to that, he served on the Jackson City Council, first winning that seat in 1977.
He was the brother of former U.S. Sen. Thad Cochran, who died in May.
Gov. Phil Bryant announced his death in a tweet.
Deborah and I are saddened to hear of the passing of Nielsen Cochran. He served on the Jackson City Council and later as Public Service Commissioner. We pray the Good Lord will help assuage the pain of this loss to his wonderful wife Connie and all who loved Nielsen. pic.twitter.com/O1WwGMZ4WU
