21 hits helped the Lady Flashes get revenge on ACCS on Wednesday
An interesting fourth inning allowed St. Aloysius softball team to grab a 16-5 win over Adams County Christian School on Wednesday to revenge Tuesday’s loss.
After finding themselves down 4-1 in the top of the fourth, the Lady Flashes began to hit the ball well.
Maddy McSherry would double to bring in two runs followed by a single from Kyleigh Cooper to tie the game at four. They would eventually take the lead after RBIs from Crawley Haller and Megan Theriot as they went up 7-4.
The Lady Flashes would grab another six runs in the fifth after singles by McSherry and Theriot along with doubles by Abby Mikulski and Wallace would push St. Al’s lead to 13-4. An RBI by Mageigh Haller would give the Lady Flashes a 14-5 lead.
In the final inning of play, Lili Perniciaro got a triple and Marley Gibellino got a single that added two more runs.
Cooper and Mikulski both went 4 for 5 at the plate while Perniciaro, McSherry, and Theriot all had three hits each. Haller finished the night with two hits and Ali G. Luke had one hit.
McSherry, Theriot, Mikulski, and Haller each had three RBIs and Cooper struck out nine batters on the night.
