23-year-old held without bond for rape of a child – VIDEO

Jmari Brown, 23, was arraigned in Warren County Court Monday on charges connected with sexual contact of a child under 14 years old.

Brown, from Mendenhall, Mississippi, was charged with one count of statutory rape and one count of sexual battery of a child under 14. Judge Marcie Southerland denied bail in the case.

The child is a Warren County resident.

Brown made contact with the child on social media and then came to Warren County to make personal contact.

Sheriff Martin Pace said Monday that the case has been under investigation for about a month.
