60-year-old given $150k bond after authorities observe 15 campers and houses broken into

Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department announced the arrest of an individual involved in multiple break-ins.

“On February 15, 2023, at approximately 1230 am. Deputies responded to a deer camp on Shiloh Rd. Upon arrival, Deputies observed at least 15 campers and houses had been broken into,” the Department said on Facebook.

According to the Sheriff’s Department, Deputy Raphael Neal discovered a subject, identified as 60-year-old Mark Grayer, hiding in the woods after canvassing the area. A foot pursuit ensued with Deputy Neal, Captain Earls and Deputy Thomas. Grayer was quickly apprehended.

On Friday, Grayer had his initial appearance and his bond has been set at $150,000.00

The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department state that more charges are pending.
