80 years young: Celebrating Mrs. Cellastine Thomas

Friends and family gathered Saturday to celebrate the 80th birthday of the family matriarch, Mrs. Cellastine Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas says the secret to a long and happy life is found in the way you treat others around you. Her philosophy is evident in the family she’s raised. I, a complete stranger, was welcomed into her home with kindness and the whole family made sure I had something to eat and went out of their way to make me comfortable. In other words, she raised ’em right.
