Porter’s Chapel Academy gained 10 runs in the sixth inning to defeat Tallulah Academy 10-1 on  Friday.

Both teams struggled to hit the ball early in the game but Thomas Azlin managed to get a double in the fourth inning. PCA would remain scoreless but TA would eventually get on the board after a single from Brayson Morson.

Heading into the sixth inning, the Trojans would still be leading 1-0 but the Eagles would quickly change the game in their favor. PCA would get their first run after a hit by Gavin White, and after a few walks the Eagles would be up by four. Azlin and Gavin Pugh would pick up RBIs along with a sacrifice by White as the Eagles went up 10-1.

As Gage Palmer ended the night with eight strikeouts, Chase Hearn stepped up at the end and struck out the final two batters with PCA earning the win.

Azlin and Pugh both had two hits while Palmer, Taylor LaBarre and White each had one hit. Pugh and White both led with two RBIs.

PCA will host Jackson Victors on Monday.
