A drive-by shooting occurred on Friday night

A drive-by shooting occurred at the Admiral Apartments on Friday night.

At about 2:15 a.m., “A male and female were at 1200 Mission 66, Admiral Apartments when suspects in an SUV drove by and fired several shots at them while they were sitting in a car,” said Chief Penny Jones.

The suspects in an SUV drove up and fired shots into the occupied vehicle. Someone from the apartment complex fired shots back at the suspects.

No one was injured from the shooting and at least two vehicles were struck by bullets.

Investigators and crime scene units with the Vicksburg Police Department are working the scene.
