A shooting and larceny strikes VPD response Monday
On Monday, officers initiated an investigation of two crimes. One on shooting, and another on larceny.
On Monday, Vicksburg police responded to Smokey Lane at 8:25 a.m. where a Berkley Security Company employee told police he found a bullet hole in the side of his company’s vehicle. The 2015 Ford F-250 was said to have a bullet hole in the passenger-side cargo door.
At 3:11 p.m. on Monday, officers received a call and responded to the 2600 block of Hannah Avenue. The victim stated someone had broken unto an unlocked storage building. Four rims were reported stolen by the victim.
