Accident on access ramp to 61N/Rolling Fork – I-20 Exit 5A

A single vehicle accident at around 3:30 p.m. Sunday afteroon is blocking traffic from I-20 Eastbound onto U.S. Highway 61 North.

It is reported that the driver of the vehicle, who is pregnant, hit the guard rail at Exit 5A.  She was transported to Merit Health River Region for medical attention by Vicksburg police.  Details of her condition are unknown at this time.

Please use caution in the area and plan your route.  Severe weather is moving through the area for the remainder of the evening.  Do not get out and drive if you do not have to.
