Accidents on I-20 at Indiana Avenue causing delays

An accident on Interstate 20 eastbound at the Indiana Avenue exit around 4:30 p.m. today caused police to shut down the ramp to the interstate temporarily.

No injuries have been reported; however, one of the vehicles caused a grass fire to ignite.

The accident and fire are under control, and the ramp has been reopened, but you can expect slow traffic.

A second accident has been reported in the same vicinity on the westbound side of the highway, apparently also without injuries.

Avoid the area if at all possible.
