Additional arrest made in Vicksburg embezzlement case

The Vicksburg Police Department have announced an additional arrest in an ongoing embezzlement investigation. Anajji Dexavery Odom, 31 of Port Gibson, MS was arrested in connection with felony embezzlement of Rainbow.
Odom was arraigned on Wednesday by the Municipal Court Judge, Angela Carpenter who set his bond at $30,000. Odom was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
In late May, two employees of Rainbow, located at 3505 Pemberton Square Boulevard, were arrested and charged with Felony Embezzlement following a report of merchandise theft. The Vicksburg Police Department responded to the incident after the store’s Loss Prevention Manager alerted authorities to the theft.
According to the Vicksburg Police Department, the loss prevention manager reported that surveillance footage provided conclusive evidence that employees Ashanti Jernae Hardin, 20, from Vicksburg, and Antoinette Renee Hyder, 34, from Port Gibson, were involved in embezzling clothing and other store merchandise. The total value of the stolen items is estimated to be $5,361.88.+
Both Hardin and Hyder were apprehended by law enforcement officials on the same day of the incident. They were subsequently charged with Felony Embezzlement.
