Additional details released about three charged with felony child abuse

Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace has informed Vicksburg Daily News with details of the horrific child abuse that caused three Warren County residents to be held without bond.
“This investigation began on Aug. 1 when Child Protective Services was contacted about possible abuse on three children, all under the age of 6, at 915 Locust St.,” Pace said. “The children were placed into CPS custody at that time.”
Sept. 17, 2019, Sheriff’s Department Investigator Stacy Rollison filed affidavits charging three individuals with three counts each of felony child abuse.
September 18, at about 3:50 p.m., Princess Promise Nichols, 26, and Lashari Nicole Green, 26, were taken into custody from the home on Locust Street. Later in the day, at about 6 p.m., an alert Mississippi Highway Patrol trooper stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on 61 South. In the vehicle was the third suspect, Cordarion Nichols, 26, who was also taken into custody.
The three suspects had their initial court appearance Sept. 19. After hearing the charges and brief testimony, Judge James Jefferson concurred with the request of Warren County Assistant District Attorney Branan Southerland that all three be held with no bond.
No information on the children or their relationship to the accused has been released.
