African American physicians to be vaccinated against COVID-19

Tuesday, State Health Officer Dr. Thomas Dobbs and the Mississippi State Department of Health immunization team will be providing COVID-19 vaccinations to prominent African American physicians in the Jackson area as part of MSDH’s commitment to ensuring COVID-19 vaccine access to African American healthcare professionals.
Vaccinations will take place at noon at Phillips Medical Services, 909 Ellis Ave. (next to the U.S. Post Office), in Jackson.
Dobbs tweeted about the event Tuesday, saying that “MSDH is committed to protecting African American healthcare professionals.”
