Alcorn defeated Tuskegee on Saturday; Lockridge hit a home run

Alcorn State University took down Tuskegee 6-1 on Saturday.

Hannah Miller went perfect at the plate by going 3 for 3 with two RBIs. Samantha Rodriguez had a solid game at the plate where she went 2 for 3 while Kristian Edwards, Jamyiyah Cotten, Kennedy Terry and Olive Miller each had one hit. Kiri Parker earned a late RBI to contribute to the team win. Vicksburg native Kelsey Lockeridge capped things off with a home run in the fifth inning to put the game away.

Olivia Miller earned the victory for Alcorn as she struck out two batters.

The Lady Braves will play the University of Southern Mississippi on Friday.
