Despite Felix Harper ‘s great performance, Alcorn could not pull off a victory in the high-scoring Celebration Bowl game against North Carolina A&T.

Alcorn fell 64-44 to NC A&T tonight in Atlanta. Harper threw three touchdowns on the night, along with two more touchdowns on the ground.

The Braves had a hard time getting down the field in the first half trailing 24-10 by halftime. The Aggies scored all of their first half points in the second quarter.

NC A&T scored 28 more points in the third quarter, and Alcorn would be right behind them by scoring 21 points. Both teams’ offense was impressive in the second half, but the Aggies would still retain their lead to win the Celebration Bowl.

Quarterback Kylil Carter for the Aggies threw six touchdowns on the night in his last collegiate performance. All told, the Aggies will lose nine starters to graduation this year while Alcorn will lose 12.

The victory marks the third straight HBCU National Championship for the Aggies.
