Vanderbilt University wide receiver C. J. Bolar will transfer to Alcorn State University to finish out his playing career.

Bolar thanked his teammates and coaches on Twitter yesterday before announcing that he will join the Braves next season.

In his 2018 freshman season, Bolar started in eight games, and he had 34 receptions and 440 yards. His sophomore season was interrupted by injuries, and he only managed to gain 79 yards throughout the year.

Bolar is a former Purvis High School standout where he led the Tornadoes to a 9-4 record in 2016. He finished his senior year at Purvis with 706 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.

The transfer to Alcorn will be a big thing for the Braves as they now have someone with experience playing on the SEC level.

Bolar will play under SWAC Championship head coach Fred McNair Jr.
