Alcorn picked to finish second in SWAC East and JSU ton finish first in East

The Southwestern Athletic Conference on Thursday predicted Alcorn State University to finish second in the SWAC West behind Southern University.

The Braves are led by Head Coach Fred McNair, who led the team to a 6-5 record in 2021. McNair is heading into his seventh year as the Braves’ head coach. He secured a SWAC Title in 2018 and 2019.

Jackson State is predicted to win the SWAC East above Florida A&M. The Tigers are coming off of a 2021 SWAC Championship under Head Coach Deion Sanders.
