Alex Monsour oversees the construction at Bazinski Park

The issuance of the bond provided funds for Bazinski Park to be improved upon and the addition of pickleball courts.
Pickleball is a fast growing sport that draws in large crowds. It is a paddleball game that is a cross between badminton, table tennis and tennis. While the name may make you giggle, many have come to regard this as a serious sport.
A service road is also being constructed to provide easier access to the area. “We’ve [been] putting in the service road up there which will give you easier access and everybody to have better access off of Halls Ferry…”, stated Monsour. “…so you got two projects going at the same time.”
Monsour is excited about the addition of pickleball courts, as the sport is extremely popular and draws in large crowds, which would increase local business revenues.
The construction is expected to be completed in 4 to 5 months.
