Almost 1,800 without power in Warren County
The largest outage in Warren County is in the south along Halls Ferry, Nailor and Goodrum roads where 1,423 people are out.
Entergy has not listed a time for restoration of power. “We are beginning to see the impact of Hurricane Barry. Your area has experienced outages and our crews will respond to assess the damage and make repairs as soon as it is safe to do so,” the online message states.
There have been at least two accidents with injuries, one very serious, where vehicles have left the roadway and gone into the woods.
The first, on Interstate 20 west near mile 6, involved a man who suffered head lacerations and a woman complaining of arm pain.
The second, on Fisher Ferry, is very serious and included a request for the Life Flight helicopter to transport an injured woman. A first responder on the scene initially said the woman was awake and aware. A couple of minutes later that same responder said she had obvious head injuries. A few minutes after that, the responder requested air assistance to transport the seriously injured woman to the hospital.
