Amber Alert This Morning

Amber Alert Issued for 4 Year Old California Boy Posted: Wednesday January 19, 2011 9:18 AM CT The State of California issued the Amber Alert late Tuesday (01-18) after the suspect abducted the boy in Patterson. The suspect is believed to be driving to the San Jose area. Juliani Cardenas, an Hispanic male, 4 years old, 3′ 6″, 40 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.  He was last seen wearing dark pants and a light blue shirt. The suspect is Jose Esteban Rodriguez, an Hispanic male, 27 years old, 5′ 9″, 180 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. He was last seen wearing a white and black shirt, checkered shorts, and a beanie. The suspect vehicle is a silver Toyota Corolla with California tag number 6HBW445. It has has oversize aluminum wheels. The left rear wheel is the spare wheel (smaller). Anyone with information is asked to call the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department at 209-380-6015 or dial 911. The ticker we are using is the only one sanctioned by the Department of Justice.  I feel that it is an important and necessary tool in the fight to protect our children. Some have commented that they find it distracting or that why don’t we just put it up when there’s an alert.  It Stays! Until there is a better method ,  I Stand firm in my decision to have it prominently displayed.  The ticker is automatic, when an alert is issued.
