Amedeo Home Care, a locally-owned and operated in-home care service, celebrated the grand opening of their new location on Saturday. The office is located at 2080 S. Frontage Road and open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“Our goal is to make a positive impact in our community by providing the highest standard of safety, care and dedication to our clients in the comfort of their own home,” said owner Catina Wilson.
Wilson has been operating Amedeo Home Care Services out of her own home for a little over a year. Her sincere commitment to her clients and patients has brought her great success and allowed her to open a commercial office space to run the business from.
Wilson says that she has always enjoyed working with the elderly and starting an in-home care service has been a dream of hers since she started nursing over 17 years ago. In that time, Wilson obtained her nursing degree and went on to complete a Bachelors and Masters in Biology. She has experience in LTC, Med-Surgery, Clinic and Laboratory Nursing. She is also an adjunct instructor at Hinds Community College where she teaches Anatomy & Physiology I/II.
Amedeo, which means “Lover of God,” is founded in Christian values. “We are trustworthy, dependable and caring,” Wilson said. “Your loved one will get the best care possible from our reliable and caring staff.”
