American Legion Tyner-Ford Post 213 held their inaugural golf tournament on Friday

The American Legion Tyner-Ford Post 213 held their inaugural golf tournament at Clear Creek Golf Course on Friday.
Forty-six golfers were present at the event which helped raise money for the American Legion and the four pillars that Post 213 represents.
“We want to thank the community for coming out and with this being our first one I think we did well,” Linda Stevens said.
The event had 44 hole sponsors that were at each hole and they were well supported within the community.
A few members from the Vicksburg High School were present as well to help set up the event along with coaches Shaun Archer and Christopher Lacey.
“I think they’re doing a really good thing by raising this money and we had a few guys to come through and pitch in but overall I think the whole thing was a success,” Archer said.
Now that Tyner-Ford Post-213 has completed their first golf tournament, they say they will be planning many more in the future.
