Vicksburg native Mychal Ammons helped the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office to the Atlanta Police Athletic League Basketball Championship over the weekend.

Ammons, who is a deputy in Fulton County, was named as the MVP of the big game.

Ammons is a former Vicksburg High star who led the Gators to a state championship appearance in 2011 under former head coach Dellie Robinson. He went on to play at the University of South Alabama and a few years overseas.
