An altercation on Pemberton Street leads to stabbing

An altercation on Pemberton Street, near Sky Farm Avenue, led to a stabbing Saturday evening.

First responders arrived on Pemberton Street shortly after 5:30 p.m. A victim was reported to have suffered a stab wound in the dissension.

Emergency personnel discovered the victim had been stabbed in the chest. The victim was transported to Merit Health River Region for treatment.

Reports indicate the victim is in stable condition at the time of this reporting.

Police are combing the area looking for the suspect. Reports indicate that law enforcement knows the suspect and has an accurate description.
