An appreciation ceremony was held for Central District Transportation Commissioner Willie Simmons in Hermanville

An appreciation ceremony was held for Central District Transportation Commissioner Willie Simmons on Thursday in Claiborne County. The event was sponsored by District Four Supervisor Patricia Chambliss, where many residents showed up to listen and voice their opinions as Simmons updated everyone on highway improvements.

“One of the things that we’re doing here in Claiborne County is that we’re in the process of paving Highway 18,” Simmons said.

Many of the attendees spoke up to thank the commissioner for his work and dedication to making Claiborne County a safe place to travel, including Supervisor Chambliss.
