Announcing LakeFest 2019. It’s FREE!

Mark your calendar for LakeFest 2019, one of the areas largest and most anticipated events of the year.  It is coming up on the 25th of May, Memorial Day.

 The Chill will be headlining the music for this year’s 7th annual gala.

LakeFest 2019 is a fun and FREE Memorial Day Weekend event for the area.  LakeFest is sponsored by the good people at Eagle Lake Matters, a non-profit organization for the benefit of residents of Eagle Lake.  Proceeds help the community when there is a need for monetary help.  T-shirts will be available at Lake Fest to help fund the association.  The VCB gives a stipend each year for advertising and their logo is put on the front of the shirts.  Sponsorships help with the cost of games, prizes, and things.  The whole Eagle Lake community benefits from the association in one way or the other.  Right now the event is seeking vendors.  Last year over 40 different vendors made it one of the largest in the area.

Additionally, Eagle Lake Matters is seeking grants and funds for a community center along with the possibility of Telehealth Clinic.

LakeFest 2019 organizer Linda Banchetti said “Lake Fest is a FREE event for the EL community as well as the Vicksburg community and surrounding areas. We have been hosting Lake Fest for 7 years. Every year in the last fours years it has gotten bigger and better with over 40 vendors last year from all over the state and some outside of Mississippi. The Chill has played for the last 5 years and they are a big drawing card for us.”
