Annual report shows stellar year at the Vicksburg Convention Center

The VenuWorks of Vicksburg team proudly shared the Annual report for the 2021-2022 fiscal year on Wednesday. Income for the year came in $20,000 over budget at $440,993 and catering revenue has reached pre-pandemic numbers and soared past last FY. During the previous FY gross catering sales were $91,371 compared to this year’s $375,828.
Erin Southard, Executive Director said, “These numbers were the icing on the cake to celebrating our 25th Anniversary of the VCC. What a great way to end the year of celebration than being able to report the bounce back from the pandemic.”

The Vicksburg Convention Center’s stellar performance comes as a result of in-person attendance has risen which increased the catering sales, while the increase in sponsored community events like Jester’s Ball and Vicksburg Arts and Music Festival has aided in increasing income over budget.
Southard said, “We are so proud to share our success from this fiscal year’s performance. The team is small, but we are definitely mighty and work together to make our clients happy and our community shine. We can’t wait to see what the next year has in store for Team VCC. I couldn’t be more proud of the team I work with and what they are able to accomplish.”
We take pride in exceeding expectations to provide top-quality entertainment and events for the community. For more information, please contact Erin Southard (erinp@vicksburg.org) at 601.630.2929.
