Another chase ends with crash in Bovina

Another police chase ends with the suspect vehicle crashing in Bovina.

Just after 4 a.m. an investigator with the Vicksburg Police Department observed a vehicle driving recklessly, swerving all over the road, on I-20 East near the Halls Ferry exit. The Investigator attempted to stop the vehicle with lights and siren but it failed to yield, continuing east on I-20.

The chase continued with the vehicle taking the Bovina exit and then turning right. When the vehicle attempted to cross the railroad tracks it lost control in some gravel and crashed. The investigator observed an item being thrown from the vehicle at that time. The driver, a juvenile, was quickly placed under arrest without incident by the VPD Investigator.

A gun was found where the suspect was seen to have thrown an item.

The truck was towed by Highway 27 and the suspect was taken to the Vicksburg Police Department.

This is one of several police chases over the past month in Vicksburg and Warren County including one Friday Night that resulted in two people being taken into custody.
