Armed robbery suspect given $30,000 bond

On Thursday, May 26 at 10:18 a.m. officers responded to Carter’s Jewelers, 3412-3 Pemberton Square Boulevard, for a theft. A store employee stated that a female wanted to see a ring from the glass case. A few seconds later the female walked out the store with the ring, with the employee following. The suspect stated she had a weapon before fleeing in a silver GMC Terrain. The ring stolen was an Oval Marquis cut ring valued at $13,500.00.
At 11:52 a.m. the silver GMC Terrain was located in Interstate 20 near the Edwards exit and law enforcement officers of the Vicksburg Police Department, the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, and the Mississippi Highway Patrol arrested Hope Robinson, 30, of Jackson, on a charge of Armed Robbery.
Robinson appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Friday, May 27, where Judge Angela Carpenter set her bond at $30,000.00 and bound her over to the Warren County Grand Jury.
