Arrest made in drive by shooting on Starlight Drive

As first reported in a live feed by the Vicksburg Daily News, a shooting occurred in the 200 block of Starlight Drive on August 26, 2019, around 9:50 p.m.

Initial reports had one person with minor injuries but the updated information does not include that injury.

There were multiple people inside the residence. Homeowner told police someone fired four to five bullets into her home and into a vehicle that was parked in her driveway.

Police arrested 22-year-old Kendrick Mykel Ford of 1203 Second North Street and 17-year-old Cameron Demarcus Roby of 423 Poole Road today, August 30, 2019 at the Vicksburg Police Department.

Both men have been charged with drive-by shooting, shooting into an unoccupied vehicle, (4) counts of attempted aggravated assault, and shooting into an occupied dwelling. Both men appeared in the Vicksburg Municipal Court before Judge Penny Lawson and their bond was set at $850,000.00 each. They were transported to the Warren County Jail pending the next grand jury.
