On July 9, Vicksburg Fire Department Investigator Nathaniel Williams was called to the scene of a vehicle fire near 100 N. Washington St. by Vicksburg police officers.

Following an investigation in conjunction with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and the Vicksburg Police Department, Edward Charles Doss Jr. was identified as a suspect in the burning of a gray 2017 Toyota Sienna.

Deputies from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested Doss July 22 on a charge of third-degree arson following an interview with fire investigators.

Doss received a $10,000 bond in Vicksburg Justice Court.

He faces up to three years behind bars if convicted.
