As wet as it is, it’s worse further north

I have a long time running joke with my friend Larry Bryant about the weather, as I will post various radar images and make wise cracks about emptying the bucket, etc.

This week has proven to be no exception. However, our neighbors in Northern Mississippi have been the recipient of far more precipitation within the last week that we have. Areas such as Oxford have experienced in excess of 13 inches of documented rainfall within the last week.

Cleveland based Delta Radio has at least two stations off the air as flood waters got inside their transmitter facilities. As someone who is very familiar with the workings of radio, I can attest to the fact that electronic components and water make a horrible marriage.

The daily thunderstorms and downpours in our area have brought the normal barrage of trees down and power outages, but we are not the only ones contemplating building an ark and counting our animals two by two.
