Assistant District Attorney Southerland recommends three accused child abusers be held without bond
Justice Court Judge James Jefferson concurred with Warren County Assistant District Attorney Branan Southerland and ordered three individuals accused of felony child abuse be held without bond.
Charged are Lashari Green, 26, Cordarion Nichols, 24, and Princess Nichols, 26.
Charges of felony child abuse allow the possibility of a life sentence upon conviction. Because there are three counts, the accused could be given three life sentences each.
By law, a conviction on felony child abuse mandates the judge impose a sentence of five years to life. ADA Southerland and his team sought out the tough approach on bond due to the severity of the charges.
Said one individual who did not want to be named, “It is horrible what they did. Just horrible.”
