Autumn Oaks shooting suspect turns self in, bail set

Saturday’s Autumn Oaks shooting suspect, Daraysha Montgomery, 29, turned herself in to Warren County authorities Monday morning.

Just after 6 p.m. on Saturday, E-911 received a call reporting that shots were fired at or near the Autumn Oaks Apartments, located at 4920 Halls Ferry Road.

Shortly thereafter, authorities were notified that a 26-year-old female suffering from multiple gunshot wounds arrived at Merit Health River Region by private vehicle.

Investigators spoke with the victim at the hospital. She was able to identify the shooter, according to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace.

A warrant was issued for Montgomery for aggravated assault.

At 11 a.m. on Monday, Montgomery turned herself in to Lieutenant Stacy Rollison at the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.

Montgomery appeared before judge Eddie Woods on Monday. She had bail set at $5,000.  The case is returnable to the August term of the grand jury.
