Barry downgraded to tropical depression; slow progression still presents dangers

As of 4 p.m. Sunday, the National Weather Service downgraded Barry to a tropical depression.

Life-threatening flash flooding is still expected along its path north in portions of Mississippi, Arkansas, western Tennessee and southeast Missouri through Monday evening. Significant river flooding is also expected throughout south-central Louisiana.
