Battle receives his first Division 1 offer

Vicksburg High School football player Dennis Battle has received his first Division 1 scholarship offer.

Battle, who is a star linebacker for the Gators, announced over social media that Mississippi Valley State University has offered him a scholarship.

In 2023, Battle racked up 75 tackles, five sacks, 12 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles. He received both All-County and All-District honors as a junior.

Battle is now preparing for his senior year under Head Coach Christopher Lacey.
