Bear sighted in Yazoo City

Nettie Clark Byrd posted on Facebook around noon Tuesday that a black bear was sighted in Yazoo City in the morning.

The sighting happened on Brickyard Hill at 10:10 a.m. behind cemetery mausoleum. It crossed the road near Coleman’s shirt shop headed to Highway 49 by Enchanted Hills.

Mississippi Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks told Ms. Byrd that she had to fill out a sighting report online.
