Vicksburg chooses the first Beard of the ‘Burg

It was an epic battle of the beards, but there could be only one Beard of the ‘Burg. The masses have spoken – we proudly introduce the curator of Vicksburg’s finest man mane: John VanNorman!

Just look at that glorious beard, it is undeniable. There’s nothing we can say about this beard, it speaks for itself. But John had some stiff competition for the title and we have selected some honorable mentions.

Marty Welch caught some flack in the comments for leveraging an adorable child for the win. We think it is just good, solid strategy to go along with that great beard.

One of the few profile shots submitted, Robert Banks employed a strategy of his own: posting his submission in the comments multiple times. It paid off, and many voters chose Robert as the best beard in the ‘Burg.

Creativity is an important skill in life, and we see you Tiffany Rankin. Here, she pulls off a realistic goatee and earns extra points for matching her outfit.

Tez Sharp came to win, this immaculate beard is no accident. We’ve got to give it up for this beard, and his skilled barber – just look at that fade!

Thaddeus Wade pulls off the salt and pepper look like nobody’s business. That awesome hat doesn’t hurt either.

Chris Luna chose an action shot, and we are so glad he did. Is he on a motorcycle? Unicycle? Whatever it is, he’s loving it and we love that.

Greg Dart pulled his beard of out a drawer or closet somewhere and we just want to know where we can get one of our own.
