On Nov. 23, 2019, 2-year-old Bexlee-Kaye Nash was diagnosed with high-risk stage IV neuroblastoma, a rare cancer usually found in young children. A large tumor was found in her abdomen on her left kidney and adrenal gland. Cancer cells were found in her lymph nodes and in the bone marrow of her left femur and tibia.

Bexlee-Kaye, daughter of Brittany and Joey Nash, will undergo several procedures, intense chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy before she is in remission.

On Saturday, March 14, her family will be holding a benefit to help with her medical expenses. The event will be held at Moose Lodge #1581, 2100 Fisher Ferry Road in Vicksburg from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Fried fish and chicken-strip plates will be available for $10 per plate. T-shirts will be available for purchase, and silent auctions and raffles will be held at the benefit.

Purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win a Savage Axis .308 rifle. Tickets are $5 each and can be purchased in advance at the following locations in Vicksburg: Abe’s Tire and Automotive on U.S. Highway 61 North (see Dena Williams) and Robbie’s Auto Repair on Highway 27 (see Robbie Status).

Before her illness, BexleeKaye was a normal little girl—full of life, smart, independent, silly and sassy in every way. Her personality would light up a room along with her beautiful smile. Even though she is having to endure this horrible illness, she is not letting it slop her shine. By the grace of God, she will overcome it all and will be cancer-free.
