Beverlyn B. Martin, 1938 – 2021

A Celebration of life for Mrs. Beverlyn B. Martin, 83, of Cary, MS. Born on March 11, 1938 in Parma, MO, died on Nov. 1 at Sharkey Issaquena Community Hospital.

Leaving behind her husband of 39 years, George H. Martin; sons, Shawn A. Sherrill and Shea D. Sherrill; brother, Coy W. Cox and sister, Vicki C. Dinning. Also surviving are six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

She was the daughter of W.C. and Irene Cox, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a son, Kevin J. Sherrill and a grandson, Jason C. Sherrill.

She was a member of Cary Baptist Church, where she served as pianist and Sunday School teacher for many years. She was a long time employee of Belmont Equipment in Cary, MS.

No visitation is planned. Graveside services will be at Mound Cemetery in Rolling Fork, under the direction of Glenwood Funeral Home on Wednesday, Nov. 3 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Johnny Sanders officiating.

Pallbearers will be sons, Shawn Sherrill, Shea Sherrill; grandson, Justin Sherrill; nephew, Chip Dinning; and great nephews, Brandon Dinning and Keegan Dinning.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital to honor her memory.
