Billups stepping down as Tougaloo College head basketball coach
Thomas Billups is stepping down as Head Coach of Tougaloo College.
The school announced on Tuesday that the legendary coach will turn over the program to his long-time assistant, Eric Strothers.

Billups spent the last eight seasons at Tougaloo where he led the Bulldogs to two Championships, shortly after winning eight high school championships at Lanier High School. He also won six championships as a head coach at Vicksburg Junior High School early in his career.
Billups will remain on the staff at Tougaloo as an assistant to Strother.
