Black History Month with RCEC: Wesley Tyler Glass by Jazmyn Ellis
Students with River City Early College have taken on an extra credit project this month and are sharing their Black History Month inspirations with the community.
The following was submitted by Jazmyn Ellis:
Wesley Tyler Glass
Wesley Tyler Glass, also known as Wheezy Outta Here, Wheezy Beats, and Tsunami, was born
October 26 1992 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. His mother is from Mississippi, and his father is from
Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up, he moved between the two states until eventually settling in
Atlanta. He is an African American record producer and songwriter.
Wheezy started making beats at the age of 15 for his brother “Tg Montana.” He started
to work with Shad Da God, also known as Rich Kid Shawty, an original member of Rich Kidz.
Wheezy has been given the chance to be critiqued by big producers. He’s worked with such
producers as Metro Boomin, Southside, Sonny Digital, and Lex Luger. He has worked alongside
notable artists such as Kanye West, Drake, Meek Mill, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, NBA Youngboy,
Young Thug, Gunna, and etc.
About the Author
Jazmyn Ellis is a 9th-grade student at River City early college. She has been in the Vicksburg Warren school district since the 3rd grade after transferring from the Claiborne County School District.
Since then she has attended South park elementary, Academy of Innovation, and now RCEC. Jazmy plays basketball for the VHS Missy Gators. She is also in the Vicksburg pride band as a color guard member.
