Bob Saget dead at 65
The father of a generation, Bob Saget, has died today at age 65. He passed away this afternoon at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando according to numerous sources.
First responders went to Saget’s room around 4 p.m. after he did not respond and was declared dead at the scene, according to a local news report.
Saget had been touring the country doing a stand-up comedy routine. He started the tour in September and was expected to stay on the road until May.
Saget is best known for his role as the patriarch in the long-running TV series “Full House,” a role he had starred in from 1987 to 1995. He also hosted “America’s Funniest Home Videos” from 1989 to 1997. The combination of those two shows made him one of the most recognizable stars in America.
His comedy shows tended to be raunchy and were a far cry from his good guy, clean TV image.
