Bobbie Jean Curtis Dungan, 1934 – 2022

Bobbie Jean Curtis Dungan was born on Oct. 12, 1934, near Utica, MS and passed away on Feb. 28, at 87 years old. She graduated from Utica High School. At eighteen she married the love of her life Harold Dungan, Sr. They were married for 69 years. She was his partner and support in many areas of work and life. She lived for many years helping her husband farm outside Pattison, MS and ran a business in Port Gibson for many more. She was a faithful loving wife, mother, and grandmother and a true blessing to her family.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents Alston and Florence Curtis; brothers: L.C. Curtis, Dick Curtis, Clyde Curtis, and Jessie Curtis; sisters: Edith Dreher, Verna Lewis and Dorothy Skates.
She is survived by her husband Harold Dungan, Sr.; son Harold Dungan Jr.; daughters Carolyn Dickson (Walton) and Stacey Mills (Scott); grandchildren: Leanne Armstrong (Robbie), Hal Dungan (Lacey), Clay Dungan, Maci Prophet (Kelly), Matt Dickson, Garrett Mills, and Mack Mills; great grandchildren: Brendon Prophet, Avery Anne Armstrong, Amelia Cook, Everett Dungan, and Remy Armstrong; brother Billy James Curtis; sisters: Margie Strong and Shirley Curtis.
Pallbearers: Hal Dungan, Clay Dungan, Robbie Armstrong, Matt Dickson, Kelly Prophet, Garrett Mills, Mack Mills and Scott Mills
Honorary pallbearers: Walton Dickson and Harold Dungan, Jr.
Special thanks to her sweet caregivers, especially Ms. Ann and Ms. Brenda, who were with her every step of the way making life easier for her and her husband.
