Bond set at $1 million for accused killer in Friday homicide
Bond for the accused killer of Vicksburg resident Moses Luckett was set at $1 million Monday.
Summer Rena McGee, 20, of Yazoo City was arraigned in Vicksburg Municipal Court Monday before Judge Penny Lawson. She has been charged with first degree murder for the May 15 homicide.
Police say McGee shot Luckett once in the chest when he answered the door of his New Main apartment Friday, May 15. Luckett died at the scene, and McGee fled in a white pickup truck driven by her brother, Bobby McGee.
Yazoo County Sheriff Jacob Sheriff stopped the truck just north of the Warren County line and took Summer McGee into custody. Bobby McGee fled from the truck and into the swamps and remains at large. He is wanted as an accessory to the murder.
