Kameron Williams, a 20-year-old resident of Vicksburg, appeared before Judge Penny Lawson in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Friday on a charge of First Degree Murder and given a $750,000 bond. Williams was arrested on June 1, in connection with a recent shooting incident that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Dapeytric Coleman.
The incident occurred on the evening of June 1 when multiple calls reporting shots fired were received by the 911 call center. Another call came in shortly after, reporting a second gunshot victim who had been shot in the leg at Carr Central Apartments.
After being treated and released for a related injury at River Region Medical Center, Kameron Williams was taken into custody for his alleged involvement in the homicide. The Vicksburg Police Department anticipate more arrests in connection with the case.
