Bond set for Vicksburg resident accused of assaulting elderly man

A Vicksburg man made an initial appearance in court on Monday in reference to an assault on an elderly man.

DeMichael Jones, 29, of Vicksburg appeared in Vicksburg Municipal Court on Monday, June 27, 2022, where Judge Angela Carpenter set his bond at $45,000.00 and he was bound over to the Warren County Grand Jury.

Jones was arrested Saturday, June 25, 2022, on a warrant for Aggravated Assault resulting from an incident that occurred on Locust Street on June 23, 2022. The victim, a 58-year-old man, suffered broken bones in both hands and a large bruise on his left leg.
